'Karzzzz' is Directed by Satish Kaushik. The director has come out with the plot very much like the original but then he
has changed the climax a bit to keep the variety factor on.
A remake saga, the film begins with Monty (Himesh) who happens to be the ruling king of rock music in the beautiful
South Africa and in all this fame and fortune, he comes across Tina (Shweta Kumar) and falls for her at the very first
sight. Tina has her initial reservations but later on she starts reciprocating too. All goes well until one concert takes
place where Monty is busy strumming his guitar and out of nowhere he starts getting hallucinations and starts seeing a
temple, a beautiful girl and then a huge mansion.
Before he figures it out, he blacks out. Monty goes to the concerned therapists and discovers that the mansion
belonged to one Ravi Verma (Dino) who lost his life in a tragic accident. On further enquiry Monty discovers that in fact
Ravi Verma was himself in his previous birth and he had got married to a beautiful girl who goes by the name of Kamini
(Urmila) but then the death of Ravi seems unnatural. Monty sets out in the exploration of his past self and comes face
to face with Kamini in this juncture. And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Presentation:
The presentation was excellent and though the narration went weak at few places, overall it managed to stabilize. The
script was written well and the screenplay was overall upto the mark though a bit here and there. Music was a major
impact to the mass audience and cinematography was par excellence. Editing was a bit loose towards the second half
but the other departments have contributed alright. Himesh has come up with a shocker as his performance was top
notch and equally splendid was Urmila who confronts him in a big way. Shweta did not have much to offer but her
presence is felt, Danny was good, Dino was impressive, Gulshan was not utilized very well, Asrani was hilarious,
Boman was professional and the others were effective to their range.
