Synopsis
'Dhoka' is directed by actress Pooja Bhatt. The film stars Muzammil Ibrahim, a model turned
actor, as hero. Tulip Joshi is casted opposite him. The film is an honest attempt to show
the harsh realities of terrorism and bombing.
Zaid Ahmed (Muzammil Ahmed) is a young and brilliant Muslim police officer in Mumbai. He is
admired for his honesty and dedication towards his work. He is accustomed to the frequent
incidents of bombings and violence in the city. One day he gets shocked when he finds the
body of his wife Sarah (Tulip Joshi) amidst the blood stained bodies at the New Century
Club, where a bomb blast occurs.
The police declares that Sarah is related with the suicide bombers. Zaid is torn completely
on his personal front. The wounds found on Sarah's body add to the overall element of
suspicism. Later, it is cleared that Sarah was the prime responsible for the calamitous
bombing. In this way, Zaid gets deceived by his beloved.
'Dhoka', presented by Mahesh Bhatt, is also said to have a message. The film is produced by
Mukesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films. It is slated to be released on August 17th.
