'Thodi Life Thoda Magic' is Directed by Anand Rai. The director wanted to come out with a meaningful thought but then by the time it got on the screen, it got totally confused. The director was directed this film in the confused way. Meanse it a confused tale of sorts.
A confused tale of sorts, the story is about two ambitious men Aditya (Parmeet Sethi) and Roshan (Arbaaz Khan) who are the owners of an entertainment company and a channel respectively. They would go to any extent to hog the taste of success and fame, in this process pressure falls on TV writer Naina (Meera Vasudevan) and her producer Siddharth (Saahil Chadha) to come up with something new and creative that can spike up the TRP ratings. The duo puts their heads together and as luck would have it, they come across this seemingly magical man who goes by the name of MK (Jackie Shroff).
The truth is MK is a road side dweller but has a big heart for the people around him and the society as such. They bring MK to the studio and from then on starts a reality programme which covers the life of MK while he is busy sorting out issues and problems of those in trouble. What he does not realize is that the channel is trying to take more credit by doing a prediction sort of thing and is manipulating the emotions and feelings of the viewers. MK decides to walk out of the project. And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Performances:
The presentation was pathetic and the narration was even worse. Not much happened from the technical side either with an average camerawork, not very catchy music, weak dialogues, poor screenplay and some really horrible editing. Not much could be expected from the cast with a limited scope to perform due to the other factors, however Jackie did his best to be the pied piper of Hamelin while Arbaaz Khan looked suave, Parmeet looked okay, Meera Vasudevan has given her best shot in her performance and though her role was not very powerful, she has surely shown some good potential in acting, Sahil Chadha was just about okay. Harsha Bhogle was around for a single scene so no comments.
