'Woodstock Villa' is Directed by Hansal Mehta. The director has come out with an interesting
plot and his presentation and narration have been equally decent. The subject was interesting
but the script lost out on few key instances which diluted the momentum.
A thriller with twists, the story begins when a successful business man (Arbaaz Khan) who is
in for a state of dismay when he discovers that his stunningly beautiful wife (Neha Uberoi)
is kidnapped. He discovers this when he gets a call from the kidnapper (Sikandar Kher) who
demands a heavy ransom for the lady to be set free.
Before an arrangement can be made, things take a slight turn when the kidnapped and the
kidnapper start getting fatally attracted to each other. However, things take a nasty turn
when the beautiful lady is killed and her body is buried in an unknown place. What follows is
a roller coaster ride of twists and turns and the mystery gets deeper and deeper with each
passing frame only to come out with a culminable climax. And what happens hereafter is to be
seen on the screen.
Performances:
'Woodstock Villa' belongs to Sikander Kher, Neha Oberoi. The music and background score
deserve a pat on the back for providing some worthwhile tunes and the camerawork also had the
jerk and raw touch to give an eerie touch to the whole subject. Sikander who has made his
debut has proved that acting is in his bloods and more than his stunning looks, it is his
performance that takes the credit. Equally good is Neha who has come as a revelation of
beauty blended with acting. Arbaaz Khan was promising enough with an elegant performance and
the others like Boman, Anupama Verma were good. However, talented actors like Sachin
Khedekar, Dayashankar Pandey have been grossly underutilized. The others have come out with
an okay performance. The presence of Saif and Sanjay has added to the glamour and brand of
the film.
